Apple ditched the mechanical Home button for a solid state one with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. While this is a good move for a wide variety of reasons – number one being the fact that you can’t wear out the Home button with excessive use. But this also means you can’t utilize the Home button any more to hard reset iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus. Previously, you could just hold down the Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds to give your device a quick reset, in case things had come to a standstill. But since the Home button is now a virtual one, Apple has rejigged a few things.
